Technical characteristics

VEO double row deep groove ball bearings,as well as single row,consist of an inner ring and outer  ring equipped with deepgroove raceways.Thus  this design allows the deep groove ball

bearings to support axial loads in both directions.

These double row bearings can support heavier loads than the single row ones,with superior load capacity and therefore there are appropriate to replace the single row when the load ishigh.

Double row deep groove ball bearings are wider than the single row ones,for the same inner dia- meter.This provide a very rigid arrangement and they are very sensitive to any misalignment.

These bearings may also have fillingslots which should betaken into account due to their limita-  tions to withstand axial forces.

Their main dimensions are standardized in ISO 15:1998.

Misalignment

Due to the geometry,the double row deep groove ball bearings are only able to support a maximum angular misalignment of two minutes of arc.

Misalignment must betaken into account because it leads to an inappropriate incorrect rolling,cau- sing significant additional forces that reduce the bearings service life and generate higher

noise levels.

Tolerances

VEO double row deep Groove ball bearings are  manufactured  with  normal  tolerance  class  (PN) as standard.

It can be supplied on request,in applications where  precision is critical,double row deep gro- ove ball bearings with tighter tolerances.

The tolerances for these bearings are according to ISO 492:2002 and are shown in the correspon- ding table displayed in the Introduction chapter.

Cages

VEO double row deep groove ball bearings are fit- ted with glass fibre  reinforced  polyamide  cages (suffix TVH).

Seals

VEO double row deep groove ball bearings are not sealed

Internal radial clearance

VEO double row deep ball bearings are manufac- tured  as  standard  with  normal  radial  clearance (CN)

VEO double row deep groove ball bearings are also available on request in other groups of toleran- ces.

The clearance values (valid for bearings before mounting)are  shown  in  table   1  (next  page)and are standardizedin ISO 5753:2009 and DIN 620-4.
